Boarding school for the gifted- (no pm)-(T)-accepting-Star

Kyra jumped off the top bunk and walked over to the door, the post had come she picked up a few parcels and read the labels 3 of them were adressed to her so she yawned as she took them back to her bed and opened them the first was from the school, it was an academic calender, the second was junk mail and the third was a smallish box with a tag on it which read "Dear Kyra dont forget me" there was no name on it and Kyra didnt know who it was from when she opened the small blue box a small silver love heart with a gemstone black rose that had a diamond centre was waiting inside. It took her a few moments to realise it was a locket inside was an image of her with a boy who she recognised well but this made her angry she snapped the box shut and threw it into her part of the wardrobe with the other packages.

The others hadnt noticed because they were in the bathroom. She had left thier post undisturbed where it had first fell. She suddenly remembered what the presents were for, it was her birthday. She had never had presens before so this was something special but she was furious that someone could send her that locket pretending to be him. She wished it had been his gift but she knew that she could never get a gift from him now.

Katia was snapped out of her trnace by her alarm going off for 7.
''well theres no turning back now''
she had been wearing the same clothes for about 3 days now, she had a shower and changed her clothes, brushed her teeth and brushed her hair back in a ponytale.
She got out her ipod and started listening to it while lookin at her time table, she looked at her clock

she said while walking out the door.

Maya stared at her suitcase she had not had any sleep at all last night. Her room mates were rushing around but she was already ready. She took in a deep breath and pulled the red zip along. She pulled open the suitcase and inside was a delecately wrapped package.
Maya ran her finger along the red ribbion and read the tag:

She ripped off the silver paper and pulled out her gift. It was a new packet of pencils perfectly sharpened and they weren't ruined like the ones her little brother owned.
Only mum and dad would know what to get me. But now they are hundreds of miles away and i'm here, on my own. Thought Maya
She got up and left the room to travel next door she really needed to appologise for last night.
Maya sighed heavily and knocked on the door.

Sophie threw on some clothes and put the PJs in the washing basket she'd left.
There was a loud knock on the door.
"Coming." She shouted as she walked towards the door, she opened the door to find Maya stood at the door.
"Hi." Sophie greeted Maya.

OOC: Tamar, your new charrie is accepted and in a room on his own

Kyra rushed over to the wardrobe and pulled out a black mini skirt with small silver chains in parts of it and, some net fingerless gloves, a black clingy tank top and a red tie whch she wore halfway down her shirt. She paused and looked at the necklace box before slamming the wardrobe shut. She then went into the bathroom and changed and ready for the day.

when she came out the post had moved and the girls were all dressed, she began to examine the girl who had walked into the room.

Saphira was already dressed. She picked up her mail. A single letter. She smiled to herself and ripped the envelope open.



Saphira wiped a tear away from her eye and put the letter in her pocket. She couldn't wait until first period!

Sophie let Maya in and picked up her post before she closed the door.
"Sorry, just want to check something." Sophie politely said as she sat down on the chair at the desk.
"Junk mail, leaflets, oh, this looks cool." Sophie placed the pile of letters on the desk.
"Sorry, carry on Maya." Sophie shut up and listened to Maya.

OOC: Ok, I have now made it a 4 charrie maximum! also, here are some breif descriptions of the lessons.

History of magic- Mr Agles
In this class, you learn about famous ‘Witches and wizards’, Common powers, how people used their powers differently etc.

Power class- Mrs Talens
In this power class, you learn to control your abilities.

Maths – Mr Braane
Numbers, equations, the confusing stuff.

Science- Mr N.E.Body
Chemistry – making things blow up, Physics- dropping things off really tall buildings, Biology- looking at the insides of people, nice…

ICT- Mrs Kwikk
Looking at how computers work, and how to make things pretty.

Free lesson –
For people to go to those little annoying clubs, like PE, and Cheerleading.

English – Mrs Wright
Learn how to read and write, and if you’re really good, they’ll teach you how to speak.

Language/ Advanced Language- Mr Eveel
Learn how to speak in a language of your choice! Well, that’s if the teacher ever shuts up talking in English.

Katia entered the history of magic class and sat down, she was one of the first people there so it wasn't very loud,there were a few girls in the corner giggleing about something random and a couple of boys looking seriously bored.
As more people started to pile in it started to get louder, not much louder, but still louder.
The teacher announced hi name as Mr agles and stated to tell everyone to sit down and be quiet.
he started rambling on about something to do with victorians, Katia wasn't really listening, she couldn't anyway, to many people were thinking.
Suddenly sir asked a question
''miss err mayjor how about u answer this question?''
''eerrrr...No?''
''correct the victorians believed powers to be thing like whitchcraft not a gift''
she let out a sigh of relief, panic averted.
the bell seemed to go hours later when really it was only a few minutes, she was sure she heard a few people call her a freak even by their standards

Short Bio:Claire was sent to the gifted school by her parents because they never really understood her, and thought it would be a better learning enviroment for her.

Other: She is actually blind and can only see in black and white, gas and emotions.

Kyra took her seat next to Sophia she smiled as she sat down and began to listen to the teacher going on about Victorians and witchcraft, what the punishments were and when you would be accused of being a witch. It was very boring. Kyra's mind was far from the room she was still thinking about the locket and whether she should tell the others or not then Mr Agles said "Miss Mai stand up!,since you were paying so much attention to my lesson you can tell me what happened if you survived the dunking test".
"Erm well..."she began and glanced around the room for help before guessing "You were said to be a witch". She was relieved to hear that it was the right answer and took her seat again trying to concerntrate on the boring lesson which se had to sit through.

A loud bell rang and Kyra pulled her timetable from her folder which she carried with her, power class. This looked more fun than the history of magic but she didnt know where it was she slowly walked out into the halls and looked around until she found the right class. She took a seat at the back alone, she put her folder down and waited. The classroom was interesting with lots of strange objects and experiments.

Sophie leaned over to Kyra. "You guessed didn't you?" Sophie giggled and stared blankly at the board.
"Pack your things away and stand behind your desks!" The teacher closed his breifcase.

Danny pushed the door of his new home open, and threw his suitcase down. He glanced at his watch, Class had already started.
"Well thats not good." He began running.
"Wait, what am i running for? Im in this school now!" Danny teleported himself to his new classroom and sat down at his desk.
"End of lesson everyone! Pack your things away." The teacher announced.
"Great." Danny rolled his eyes and got up.

Claire looked at the big black and white gate, well, she wasn't sure what colour it was, so to her it was a nice big black and white gate. She pushed it open and made her way up to the office to get her new timetable.
"Here you go dear." The woman at the desk put of a fake smile. Claire switched to emotion view, she could see that she was tense and angry. but Clarie didn't dare say anything.
"Um, when does class start?" Claire asked as she switched back to black and white.
"Well dear, if you want to, you can just settle in today, or you can go to your next class. It's up to you." The croaky old woman said.
"Thankyou. I think i'll go to class." Claire smiled, and as she walked away she changed the womans emotion to happy.

Maya entered the room alonside mayleen and went to site behind sophie. Sophie smiled at her and turned back to face the board. The teacher stood up put on a smile and yelled:
"Right everybody quiet!"
Everyone shut up instantly.
"You may be seated"
There was a harsh screech of lots of chairs rubbing along the floor.
"Right i am Mrs Talens welcome to your first power class now today is going to be a getting to know you session could you all please come to the front state your name, tell me your powers please if possible demonstrate and then tell me which power you need the most help with. Do you understand?"
"Yes" stated the whole class in agreement.
"Right we'll start with.. you" And she pointed at Sophie. Just before she stood up a girl came bursting through the door.

Well the bell went and that meant more people were in the hall,
Katia started walking trying to ignore the noise, but she couldn't, it was the loudest she had ever heard
She had turned paler than before and started sweating, she felt like she was going to be sick.
she noticed the doors to some toilets and quickly ducked into the girls bathroom and let out a huge scream.
She really didn't care if she was late for class, she was going to wait until the hallways were empty.
she waited for about 10 minutes and then decided to get going for class.
She walked into the room for powers class and it was quiet, well not that quiet, but from the noise before a herd of stampeading elephants would seem quiet.
'' ahhh..you must be miss Mayjor''

''well since ur so late u can state ur name age and powers in front of the class next''

Katia sat down, some people were looking at her, some looking abit worried

but she didn't know why

Seth casually walked along the corridors. He had just arrived at his new school. Quickly he dumped his bag in his room and went to find the powers class that he was supposed to be in. When he reached the right door he walked in and stood still. Everyone in the room turned around for a moment and looked at him. "Ah Mr Cigam please take a seat at the back of the class" said Mrs Talens. Seth walked over to a girl who had the same fashion style as him and sat down. Mrs Talens carried on talking.

Kyra glanced to her right at the boy who was sat there. "He looks so much like Jay" she thought before deciding that she wasnt going to let her emotions take control. They started passing notes between each other while listening to the teacher. Eventually the question came up "Who are you sitting with next lesson" Kyra's heart skipped a beat. "I dont know" she wrote. He looked rather disapointed. She passed his note to Saphira and the others to see if they thought that she should sit next to him.

"Miss Mai" called the teacher. Kyra went to the front and stated her name and age then said "Quintessence and Night vision, i cant really demonstrate night vision but this is quintessence" she placed oen hand above the other as if she was holding something and then stared at them a bright ball fo white/blue electrical energy formed in her hand and began to spin, she carefully removed one hand from the top and threw it into the air where it shattered into tiny pieces and dissapeared. "Very impressive" said Mrs Talons and then Kyra returned to her seat

Sophie looked at Katia, and then realised she was next up.
"Please state your name, age, powers and if you can demonstrate then please do, and which power you cant control very well." The teacher watched Sophie get up.
"Sophia Angel, Age 14, And my powers are, Invisibility, I can control weather and i can fly." Sophie Dissapeared, Reappeared and jumped, staying in the air.
"And this is the power i can't control very well." Sophie said as she looked out the window and tryed to make it rain, instead it turned into extremely large hail.
"That was supposed to be rain..." Sophie sat down, her face red like a cherry.

Claire watched as the other students demonstrated their powers, she was at the back of the class, so she'd be last. She looked at Sophie and switched to emotion view, she could see that Sophie was quite embarrased. Hoping that it would help a little, she switched Sophie's emotion to happiness.

Sophie jerked a little, and thought of happy things, she wasn't sure what had caused it, but liked it.

''Ok miss mayjor lets hear about your uncotrollable power''
the class turned to look at her, she heard a few 'please not corruption's
''Mind reading''
she finally announced
most of the class looked a little embarrassed
'' ok and a demonstration of power''
Katia wound her hands together and sent out a huge blast of fire
''well done miss mayjor, you may sit''
glad thats over,katia thought
as the person next to her stood up to demonstrate

The teacher stared at Maya and she rose from her chair and walked to the front of the class.
She turned on the tap and heard sarcastic gasps of:
"Wow she can turn on the tap"
She sat on the stool at the front and said:
"I am Maya Winter and i am 14 years old i have powers over telekensis, hydrokenesis and i can turn my drawings into reality"
"Ah a conjourer did you know they can also conjour existing pictures"
"No and i'm sorry i didn't realise it had a name"
"And is there a reason why you are wasting the water i my classroom?"
"Sorry, but i'll need to use the water in a minute"
Maya pulled out her small sketchbook from her pocket and her favourite sketching pencil and started drawing after about 30 seconds she was satisfied with her drawing of a cup she focused her mind on the drawing and the lines ran into eachother in her mind she hovered her hand over the picture and the cup appeared on the table. She pointed her hand at the water and moved her hand and made the water follow the pattern her hand made and she made it go into the cup. And again she pointed her hand at the cup it rocked a little bit but didn't do much, she tried again and got the same result eventually she focused all of her energy on the cup and it lifted she followed it with her eyes over the sink and poured the water out slightly spilling it.
"Sorry"
"Not at all," the teacher said as she smiled,"And let me guess you want help with telekenesis?"
Maya nodded breifly and returned to her seat.

Seth got up and kicked his chair under the desk before walking to the front "Speed it up Mr cigiam we dont have all day" screeched Mrs Talons inpatiently. Seth sighed and speeded up, again he stated his anme and age and that he had the ability to walk through walls and super flexibility. He bent himself into a full circle backwards and rolled straight through the class wall and back before springing back up from the circle. "Do not try to show off Mr Cigiam" snorted Mrs Talons before shooing him back to hsi seat.

Claire watched everyone perform their powers.
I can't do it... She thought as the 'que' for the demostration was nearing her.
When it's my turn, what should i demonstrate! I can't demonstrate the gases, because nobody else can see them, i suppose i could change somebodys emotion, or explain the emotional footprint, or i could change an object! that's it! but... i can't control that very well. Claire was quite distressed, but managed to calm herself using her powers.

Jake was staring into space he was getting so bored he was planning on how to demonstrate.
"Mr Traves are you planning to stare into space all lesson or are you going to demonstrate?"
"Erm right... sorry"
He walked to the front dragging his feet.
"Hello i'm Jake Traves and i am 15 years old i am a technopath, i can teletransport and i can see auras."
He focused his mind to his chair and the whole glass saw him dissappear then reappear on the floor next to his chair.
"I haven't quite got the hang of that one yet." He blushed and then picked up his glasses from on the floor next to him.
